WHICH JOHN CALVIN WAS WONT TO USE AT THE BEGINNING OF HIS LECTURES:

MAY the Lord grant, that we may engage in contemplating
the mysteries of his heavenly wisdom with really increasing devotion,
to his glory and to our edification. AMEN.
