þu þe Israela      æðelum cynne
reccest and rædest,      ðu nu recene beheald,
þu ðe Ioseph swa sceap      gramum wiðlæddest.
ðu ðe sylfa nu      sittest ofer cherubin,

and Beniamin,      nu we biddað þe.
Awece þine mihte      and mid wuldre cum,

þinne andwlitan;      ealle we beoð hale.
Eala ðu, mægena god,      mære drihten,
hu lange yrsast þu      on þines esnes gebed?

and us drincan gifest      deorcum tearum

manna gehwylcum      on gemet rihtes.
þu us asettest      on sarcwide
urum neahmannum;      nu we cunnion,
