Matthew 13

GNT

10 καὶ προσελθόντες οἱ μαθηταὶ εἶπαν αὐτῶ, διὰ τί ἐν παραβολαῖς λαλεῖς αὐτοῖς;

27 προσελθόντες δὲ οἱ δοῦλοι τοῦ οἰκοδεσπότου εἶπον αὐτῶ, κύριε, οὐχὶ καλὸν σπέρμα ἔσπειρας ἐν τῶ σῶ ἀγρῶ; πόθεν οὗν ἔχει ζιζάνια;

28 ὁ δὲ ἔφη αὐτοῖς, ἐχθρὸς ἄνθρωπος τοῦτο ἐποίησεν. οἱ δὲ δοῦλοι λέγουσιν αὐτῶ, θέλεις οὗν ἀπελθόντες συλλέξωμεν αὐτά;

54 καὶ ἐλθὼν εἰς τὴν πατρίδα αὐτοῦ ἐδίδασκεν αὐτοὺς ἐν τῇ συναγωγῇ αὐτῶν, ὥστε ἐκπλήσσεσθαι αὐτοὺς καὶ λέγειν, πόθεν τούτῳ ἡ σοφία αὕτη καὶ αἱ δυνάμεις;

55 οὐχ οὖτός ἐστιν ὁ τοῦ τέκτονος υἱός; οὐχ ἡ μήτηρ αὐτοῦ λέγεται μαριὰμ καὶ οἱ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ ἰάκωβος καὶ ἰωσὴφ καὶ σίμων καὶ ἰούδας;

56 καὶ αἱ ἀδελφαὶ αὐτοῦ οὐχὶ πᾶσαι πρὸς ἡμᾶς εἰσιν; πόθεν οὗν τούτῳ ταῦτα πάντα;

1  The same1565 day2250 went1831 Jesus2424 out of575 the3588 house,3614 and2532 sat2521 by3844 the3588 sea side.2281

2  And2532 great4183 multitudes3793 were gathered together4863 unto4314 him,846 so that5620 he846 went1684 into1519 a ship,4143 and sat;2521 and2532 the3588 whole3956 multitude3793 stood2476 on1909 the3588 shore.123

3  And2532 he spake2980 many things4183 unto them846 in1722 parables,3850 saying,3004 Behold,2400 a sower4687 went forth1831 to sow;4687

4  And2532 when he846 sowed,4687 some3739 3303 seeds fell4098 by3844 the3588 way side,3598 and2532 the3588 fowls4071 came2064 and2532 devoured them up:2719 846

1161 Some243 fell4098 upon1909 stony places,4075 where3699 they had2192 not3756 much4183 earth:1093 and2532 forthwith2112 they sprung up,1816 because they had2192 no3361 deepness899 of earth:1093

6  And1161 when the sun2246 was up,393 they were scorched;2739 and2532 because they had2192 no3361 root,4491 they withered away.3583

7  And1161 some243 fell4098 among1909 thorns;173 and2532 the3588 thorns173 sprung up,305 and2532 choked638 them:846

8  But1161 other243 fell4098 into1909 good2570 ground,1093 and2532 brought forth1325 fruit,2590 some3739 3303 a hundredfold,1540 1161 some3739 sixtyfold,1835 1161 some3739 thirtyfold.5144

9  Who hath2192 ears3775 to hear,191 let him hear.191

10  And2532 the3588 disciples3101 came,4334 and said2036 unto him,846 Why1302 speakest2980 thou unto them846 in1722 parables?3850

11  1161 He3588 answered611 and said2036 unto them,846 Because3754 it is given1325 unto you5213 to know1097 the3588 mysteries3466 of the3588 kingdom932 of heaven,3772 but1161 to them1565 it is not3756 given.1325

12  For1063 whosoever3748 hath,2192 to him846 shall be given,1325 and2532 he shall have more abundance:4052 but1161 whosoever3748 hath2192 not,3756 from575 him846 shall be taken away142 even2532 that3739 he hath.2192

13  Therefore1223 5124 speak2980 I to them846 in1722 parables:3850 because3754 they seeing991 see991 not;3756 and2532 hearing191 they hear191 not,3756 neither3761 do they understand.4920

14  And2532 in1909 them846 is fulfilled378 the3588 prophecy4394 of Isaiah,2268 which saith,3004 By hearing189 ye shall hear,191 and2532 shall not3364 understand;4920 and2532 seeing991 ye shall see,991 and2532 shall not3364 perceive:1492

15  For1063 this5127 people's2992 heart2588 is waxed gross,3975 and2532 their ears3775 are dull of hearing,191 917 and2532 their848 eyes3788 they have closed;2576 lest at any time3379 they should see1492 with their eyes,3778 and2532 hear191 with their ears,3775 and2532 should understand4920 with their heart,2588 and2532 should be converted,1994 and2532 I should heal2390 them.846

16  But1161 blessed3107 are your5216 eyes,3778 for3754 they see:991 and2532 your5216 ears,3775 for3754 they hear.191

17  For1063 verily281 I say3004 unto you,5213 That3754 many4183 prophets4396 and2532 righteous1342 men have desired1937 to see1492 those things which3739 ye see,991 and2532 have not3756 seen1492 them; and2532 to hear191 those things which3739 ye hear,191 and2532 have not3756 heard191 them.

18  Hear191 ye5210 therefore3767 the3588 parable3850 of the3588 sower.4687

19  When any one3956 heareth191 the3588 word3056 of the3588 kingdom,932 and2532 understandeth4920 it not,3361 then cometh2064 the3588 wicked4190 one, and2532 catcheth away726 that which was sown4687 in1722 his846 heart.2588 This3778 is2076 he which received seed4687 by3844 the3588 way side.3598

20  But1161 he that received the seed4687 into1909 stony places,4075 the same3778 is2076 he that heareth191 the3588 word,3056 and2532 anon2117 with3326 joy5479 receiveth2983 it;846

21  Yet1161 hath2192 he not3756 root4491 in1722 himself,1438 but235 endureth for a while:2076 4340 for1161 when tribulation2347 or2228 persecution1375 ariseth1096 because1223 of the3588 word,3056 by and by2117 he is offended.4624

22  He also that received seed4687 1161 among1519 the3588 thorns173 3778 is2076 he that heareth191 the3588 word;3056 and2532 the3588 care3308 of this5127 world,165 and2532 the3588 deceitfulness539 of riches,4149 choke4846 the3588 word,3056 and2532 he becometh1096 unfruitful.175

23  But1161 he that received seed4687 into1909 the3588 good2570 ground1093 is2076 he that heareth191 the3588 word,3056 and2532 understandeth4920 it; which3739 also1211 beareth fruit,2592 and2532 bringeth forth,4160 some3588 3303 a hundredfold1540 1161 some3588 sixty,1835 1161 some3588 thirty.5144

24  Another243 parable3850 put he forth3908 unto them,846 saying,3004 The3588 kingdom932 of heaven3772 is likened unto3666 a man444 which sowed4687 good2570 seed4690 in1722 his848 field:68

25  But1161 while men444 slept,2518 his846 enemy2190 came2064 and2532 sowed4687 tares2215 among303 3319 the3588 wheat,4621 and2532 went his way.565

26  But1161 when3753 the3588 blade5528 was sprung up,985 and2532 brought forth4160 fruit,2590 then5119 appeared5316 the3588 tares2215 also.2532

27  So1161 the3588 servants1401 of the3588 householder3617 came4334 and said2036 unto him,846 Sir,2962 didst not3780 thou sow4687 good2570 seed4690 in1722 thy4674 field?68 from whence4159 then3767 hath2192 it tares?2215

28  1161 He3588 said5346 unto them,846 An444 enemy2190 hath done4160 this.5124 The3588 servants1401 said2036 unto him,846 Wilt2309 thou then3767 that we go565 and2532 gather them up?4816 846

29  But1161 he3588 said,5346 Nay;3756 lest3379 while ye gather up4816 the3588 tares,2215 ye root up1610 also the3588 wheat4621 with260 them.846

30  Let863 both297 grow together4885 until3360 the3588 harvest:2326 and2532 in1722 the3588 time2540 of harvest2326 I will say2046 to the3588 reapers,2327 Gather ye together4816 first4412 the3588 tares,2215 and2532 bind1210 them846 in1519 bundles1197 to burn2618 them:846 but1161 gather4863 the3588 wheat4621 into1519 my3450 barn.596

31  Another243 parable3850 put he forth3908 unto them,846 saying,3004 The3588 kingdom932 of heaven3772 is2076 like to3664 a grain2848 of mustard seed,4615 which3739 a man444 took,2983 and2532 sowed4687 in1722 his846 field:68

32  Which3739 indeed3303 is2076 the least3398 of all3956 seeds:4690 but1161 when3752 it is grown,837 it is2076 the greatest3187 among herbs,3001 and2532 becometh1096 a tree,1186 so that5620 the3588 birds4071 of the3588 air3772 come2064 and2532 lodge2681 in1722 the3588 branches2798 thereof.846

33  Another243 parable3850 spake2980 he unto them;846 The3588 kingdom932 of heaven3772 is2076 like unto3664 leaven,2219 which3739 a woman1135 took,2983 and2532 hid1470 in1519 three5140 measures4568 of meal,224 till2193 the3739 whole3650 was leavened.2220

34  All3956 these things5023 spake2980 Jesus2424 unto the3588 multitude3793 in1722 parables;3850 and2532 without5565 a parable3850 spake2980 he not3756 unto them:846

35  That3704 it might be fulfilled4137 which was spoken4483 by1223 the3588 prophet,4396 saying,3004 I will open455 my3450 mouth4750 in1722 parables;3850 I will utter2044 things which have been kept secret2928 from575 the foundation2602 of the world.2889

36  Then5119 Jesus2424 sent the multitude away,863 3588 3793 and went2064 into1519 the3588 house:3614 and2532 his846 disciples3101 came4334 unto him,846 saying,3004 Declare5419 unto us2254 the3588 parable3850 of the3588 tares2215 of the3588 field.68

37  1161 He3588 answered611 and said2036 unto them,846 He that soweth4687 the3588 good2570 seed4690 is2076 the3588 Son5207 of man;444

38  1161 The3588 field68 is2076 the3588 world;2889 the3588 good2570 seed4690 are3778 1526 the3588 children5207 of the3588 kingdom;932 but1161 the3588 tares2215 are1526 the3588 children5207 of the3588 wicked4190 one;

39  1161 The3588 enemy2190 that sowed4687 them846 is2076 the3588 devil;1228 the3588 harvest2326 is2076 the end4930 of the3588 world;165 and2532 the3588 reapers2327 are1526 the angels.32

40  As5618 therefore3767 the3588 tares2215 are gathered4816 and2532 burned2618 in the fire;4442 so3779 shall it be2071 in1722 the3588 end4930 of this5127 world.165

41  The3588 Son5207 of man444 shall send forth649 his846 angels,32 and2532 they shall gather4816 out of1537 his848 kingdom932 all things3956 that offend,4625 and2532 them which do4160 iniquity;458

42  And2532 shall cast906 them846 into1519 a furnace2575 of fire:4442 there1563 shall be2071 wailing2805 and2532 gnashing1030 of teeth.3599

43  Then5119 shall the3588 righteous1342 shine forth1584 as5613 the3588 sun2246 in1722 the3588 kingdom932 of their848 Father.3962 Who hath2192 ears3775 to hear,191 let him hear.191

44  Again,3825 the3588 kingdom932 of heaven3772 is2076 like unto3664 treasure2344 hid2928 in1722 a field;68 the which3739 when a man444 hath found,2147 he hideth,2928 and2532 for575 joy5479 thereof846 goeth5217 and2532 selleth4453 all3956 that3745 he hath,2192 and2532 buyeth59 that1565 field.68

Vul

18 Vos ergo audite parabolam seminantis.

40 Sicut ergo colliguntur zizania, et igni comburuntur: sic erit in consummatione sæculi.

42 et mittent eos in caminum ignis. Ibi erit fletus et stridor dentium.

43 Tunc justi fulgebunt sicut sol in regno Patris eorum.
