1  Hear⁸⁰⁸⁵ ye ⁸⁵³ this²⁰⁸⁸ word¹⁶⁹⁷ which⁸³⁴ I⁵⁹⁵ take up⁵³⁷⁵ against⁵⁹²¹ you, even a lamentation,⁷⁰¹⁵ O house¹⁰⁰⁴ of Israel.³⁴⁷⁸

2  The virgin¹³³⁰ of Israel³⁴⁷⁸ is fallen;⁵³⁰⁷ she shall no³⁸⁰⁸ more³²⁵⁴ rise:⁶⁹⁶⁵ she is forsaken⁵²⁰³ upon⁵⁹²¹ her land;¹²⁷ there is none³⁶⁹ to raise her up.⁶⁹⁶⁵

3  For³⁵⁸⁸ thus³⁵⁴¹ saith⁵⁵⁹ the Lord¹³⁶ GOD;³⁰⁶⁹ The city⁵⁸⁹² that went out³³¹⁸ by a thousand⁵⁰⁵ shall leave⁷⁶⁰⁴ a hundred,³⁹⁶⁷ and that which went forth³³¹⁸ by a hundred³⁹⁶⁷ shall leave⁷⁶⁰⁴ ten,⁶²³⁵ to the house¹⁰⁰⁴ of Israel.³⁴⁷⁸

4  For³⁵⁸⁸ thus³⁵⁴¹ saith⁵⁵⁹ the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ unto the house¹⁰⁰⁴ of Israel,³⁴⁷⁸ Seek¹⁸⁷⁵ ye me, and ye shall live:²⁴²¹

5  But seek¹⁸⁷⁵ not⁴⁰⁸ Bethel,¹⁰⁰⁸ nor³⁸⁰⁸ enter⁹³⁵ into Gilgal,¹⁵³⁷ and pass⁵⁶⁷⁴ not³⁸⁰⁸ to Beer-sheba:⁸⁸⁴ for³⁵⁸⁸ Gilgal¹⁵³⁷ shall surely go into captivity,^{1540 1540} and Bethel¹⁰⁰⁸ shall come¹⁹⁶¹ to naught.²⁰⁵

6  Seek^{1875 853} the LORD,³⁰⁶⁸ and ye shall live;²⁴²¹ lest⁶⁴³⁵ he break out⁶⁷⁴³ like fire⁷⁸⁴ in the house¹⁰⁰⁴ of Joseph,³¹³⁰ and devour³⁹⁸ it, and there be none³⁶⁹ to quench³⁵¹⁸ it in Bethel.¹⁰⁰⁸

7  Ye who turn²⁰¹⁵ judgment⁴⁹⁴¹ to wormwood,³⁹³⁹ and leave off⁵¹¹⁷ righteousness⁶⁶⁶⁶ in the earth,⁷⁷⁶

8  Seek him that maketh⁶²¹³ the seven stars³⁵⁹⁸ and Orion,³⁶⁸⁵ and turneth²⁰¹⁵ the shadow of death⁶⁷⁵⁷ into the morning,¹²⁴² and maketh the day dark^{2821 3117} with night:³⁹¹⁵ that calleth⁷¹²¹ for the waters⁴³²⁵ of the sea,³²²⁰ and poureth them out⁸²¹⁰ upon⁵⁹²¹ the face⁶⁴⁴⁰ of the earth:⁷⁷⁶ The LORD³⁰⁶⁸ is his name:⁸⁰³⁴

9  That strengtheneth¹⁰⁸² the spoiled⁷⁷⁰¹ against⁵⁹²¹ the strong,⁵⁹⁷⁴ so that the spoiled⁷⁷⁰¹ shall come⁹³⁵ against⁵⁹²¹ the fortress.⁴⁰¹³

10  They hate⁸¹³⁰ him that rebuketh³¹⁹⁸ in the gate,⁸¹⁷⁹ and they abhor⁸⁵⁸¹ him that speaketh¹⁶⁹⁶ uprightly.⁸⁵⁴⁹

11  Forasmuch³²⁸² therefore³⁶⁵¹ as your treading¹³¹⁸ is upon⁵⁹²¹ the poor,¹⁸⁰⁰ and ye take³⁹⁴⁷ from⁴⁴⁸⁰ him burdens⁴⁸⁶⁴ of wheat:¹²⁵⁰ ye have built¹¹²⁹ houses¹⁰⁰⁴ of hewn stone,¹⁴⁹⁶ but ye shall not³⁸⁰⁸ dwell³⁴²⁷ in them; ye have planted⁵¹⁹³ pleasant²⁵³¹ vineyards,³⁷⁵⁴ but ye shall not³⁸⁰⁸ drink^{8354 853} wine³¹⁹⁶ of them.

12  For³⁵⁸⁸ I know³⁰⁴⁵ your manifold⁷²²⁷ transgressions⁶⁵⁸⁸ and your mighty⁶⁰⁹⁹ sins:²⁴⁰³ they afflict⁶⁸⁸⁷ the just,⁶⁶⁶² they take³⁹⁴⁷ a bribe,³⁷²⁴ and they turn aside⁵¹⁸⁶ the poor³⁴ in the gate⁸¹⁷⁹ from their right.

13  Therefore³⁶⁵¹ the prudent⁷⁹¹⁹ shall keep silence¹⁸²⁶ in that¹⁹³¹ time;⁶²⁵⁶ for³⁵⁸⁸ it¹⁹³¹ is an evil⁷⁴⁵¹ time.⁶²⁵⁶

14  Seek¹⁸⁷⁵ good,²⁸⁹⁶ and not⁴⁰⁸ evil,⁷⁴⁵¹ that⁴⁶¹⁶ ye may live:²⁴²¹ and so³⁶⁵¹ the LORD,³⁰⁶⁸ the God⁴³⁰ of hosts,⁶⁶³⁵ shall be¹⁹⁶¹ with⁸⁵⁴ you, as⁸³⁴ ye have spoken.⁵⁵⁹

15  Hate⁸¹³⁰ the evil,⁷⁴⁵¹ and love¹⁵⁷ the good,²⁸⁹⁶ and establish³³²² judgment⁴⁹⁴¹ in the gate:⁸¹⁷⁹ it may be¹⁹⁴ that the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ God⁴³⁰ of hosts⁶⁶³⁵ will be gracious²⁶⁰³ unto the remnant⁷⁶¹¹ of Joseph.³¹³⁰

16  Therefore³⁶⁵¹ the LORD,³⁰⁶⁸ the God⁴³⁰ of hosts,⁶⁶³⁵ the Lord,¹³⁶ saith⁵⁵⁹ thus;³⁵⁴¹ Wailing⁴⁵⁵³ shall be in all³⁶⁰⁵ streets;⁷³³⁹ and they shall say⁵⁵⁹ in all³⁶⁰⁵ the highways,²³⁵¹ Alas!¹⁹³⁰ alas!¹⁹³⁰ and they shall call⁷¹²¹ the husbandman⁴⁰⁶ to⁴¹³ mourning,⁶⁰ and such as are skillful³⁰⁴⁵ of lamentation⁵⁰⁹² to⁴¹³ wailing.⁴⁵⁵³

17  And in all³⁶⁰⁵ vineyards³⁷⁵⁴ shall be wailing:⁴⁵⁵³ for³⁵⁸⁸ I will pass⁵⁶⁷⁴ through⁷¹³⁰ thee, saith⁵⁵⁹ the LORD.³⁰⁶⁸

18  Woe¹⁹⁴⁵ unto you that desire^{183 853} the day³¹¹⁷ of the LORD!³⁰⁶⁸ to what end⁴¹⁰⁰ is it²⁰⁸⁸ for you? the day³¹¹⁷ of the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ is darkness,²⁸²² and not³⁸⁰⁸ light.²¹⁶

19  As if⁸³⁴ a man³⁷⁶ did flee⁵¹²⁷ from^{4480 6440} a lion,⁷³⁸ and a bear¹⁶⁷⁷ met⁶²⁹³ him; or went⁹³⁵ into the house,¹⁰⁰⁴ and leaned⁵⁵⁶⁴ his hand³⁰²⁷ on⁵⁹²¹ the wall,⁷⁰²³ and a serpent⁵¹⁷⁵ bit⁵³⁹¹ him.

20  Shall not³⁸⁰⁸ the day³¹¹⁷ of the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ be darkness,²⁸²² and not³⁸⁰⁸ light?²¹⁶ even very dark,⁶⁵¹ and no³⁸⁰⁸ brightness⁵⁰⁵¹ in it?

21  I hate,⁸¹³⁰ I despise³⁹⁸⁸ your feast days,²²⁸² and I will not³⁸⁰⁸ smell⁷³⁰⁶ in your solemn assemblies.⁶¹¹⁶

22  Though^{3588 518} ye offer⁵⁹²⁷ me burnt offerings⁵⁹³⁰ and your meat offerings,⁴⁵⁰³ I will not³⁸⁰⁸ accept⁷⁵²¹ them: neither³⁸⁰⁸ will I regard⁵⁰²⁷ the peace offerings⁸⁰⁰² of your fat beasts.⁴⁸⁰⁶

23  Take thou away⁵⁴⁹³ from^{4480 5921} me the noise¹⁹⁹⁵ of thy songs;⁷⁸⁹² for I will not³⁸⁰⁸ hear⁸⁰⁸⁵ the melody²¹⁷² of thy viols.⁵⁰³⁵

24  But let judgment⁴⁹⁴¹ run down¹⁵⁵⁶ as waters,⁴³²⁵ and righteousness⁶⁶⁶⁶ as a mighty³⁸⁶ stream.⁵¹⁵⁸

25  Have ye offered⁵⁰⁶⁶ unto me sacrifices²⁰⁷⁷ and offerings⁴⁵⁰³ in the wilderness⁴⁰⁵⁷ forty⁷⁰⁵ years,⁸¹⁴¹ O house¹⁰⁰⁴ of Israel?³⁴⁷⁸

26  But ye have borne^{5375 853} the tabernacle⁵⁵²² of your Moloch⁴⁴³² and Chiun³⁵⁹⁴ your images,⁶⁷⁵⁴ the star³⁵⁵⁶ of your god,⁴³⁰ which⁸³⁴ ye made⁶²¹³ to yourselves.

27  Therefore will I cause you to go into captivity¹⁵⁴⁰ beyond^{4480 1973} Damascus,¹⁸³⁴ saith⁵⁵⁹ the LORD,³⁰⁶⁸ whose name⁸⁰³⁴ is The God⁴³⁰ of hosts.⁶⁶³⁵

1 ἀκούσατε τὸν λόγον κυρίου τοῦτον ὃν ἐγὼ λαμβάνω ἐφ᾽ ὑμᾶς θρῆνον οἶκος Ισραηλ

2 ἔπεσεν οὐκέτι μὴ προσθῇ τοῦ ἀναστῆναι παρθένος τοῦ Ισραηλ ἔσφαλεν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς αὐτῆς οὐκ ἔστιν ὁ ἀναστήσων αὐτήν

3 διότι τάδε λέγει κύριος κύριος ἡ πόλις ἐξ ἧς ἐξεπορεύοντο χίλιοι ὑπολειφθήσονται ἑκατόν καὶ ἐξ ἧς ἐξεπορεύοντο ἑκατόν ὑπολειφθήσονται δέκα τῷ οἴκῳ Ισραηλ

4 διότι τάδε λέγει κύριος πρὸς τὸν οἶκον Ισραηλ ἐκζητήσατέ με καὶ ζήσεσθε

5 καὶ μὴ ἐκζητεῖτε Βαιθηλ καὶ εἰς Γαλγαλα μὴ εἰσπορεύεσθε καὶ ἐπὶ τὸ φρέαρ τοῦ ὅρκου μὴ διαβαίνετε ὅτι Γαλγαλα αἰχμαλωτευομένη αἰχμαλωτευθήσεται καὶ Βαιθηλ ἔσται ὡς οὐχ ὑπάρχουσα

6 ἐκζητήσατε τὸν κύριον καὶ ζήσατε ὅπως μὴ ἀναλάμψῃ ὡς πῦρ ὁ οἶκος Ιωσηφ καὶ καταφάγεται αὐτόν καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ὁ σβέσων τῷ οἴκῳ Ισραηλ

7 κύριος ὁ ποιῶν εἰς ὕψος κρίμα καὶ δικαιοσύνην εἰς γῆν ἔθηκεν

8 ποιῶν πάντα καὶ μετασκευάζων καὶ ἐκτρέπων εἰς τὸ πρωὶ σκιὰν θανάτου καὶ ἡμέραν εἰς νύκτα συσκοτάζων ὁ προσκαλούμενος τὸ ὕδωρ τῆς θαλάσσης καὶ ἐκχέων αὐτὸ ἐπὶ προσώπου τῆς γῆς κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὁ παντοκράτωρ ὄνομα αὐτῷ

9 ὁ διαιρῶν συντριμμὸν ἐπ᾽ ἰσχὺν καὶ ταλαιπωρίαν ἐπὶ ὀχύρωμα ἐπάγων

10 ἐμίσησαν ἐν πύλαις ἐλέγχοντα καὶ λόγον ὅσιον ἐβδελύξαντο

11 διὰ τοῦτο ἀνθ᾽ ὧν κατεκονδυλίζετε πτωχοὺς καὶ δῶρα ἐκλεκτὰ ἐδέξασθε παρ᾽ αὐτῶν οἴκους ξυστοὺς ᾠκοδομήσατε καὶ οὐ μὴ κατοικήσητε ἐν αὐτοῖς ἀμπελῶνας ἐπιθυμητοὺς ἐφυτεύσατε καὶ οὐ μὴ πίητε τὸν οἶνον ἐξ αὐτῶν

12 ὅτι ἔγνων πολλὰς ἀσεβείας ὑμῶν καὶ ἰσχυραὶ αἱ ἁμαρτίαι ὑμῶν καταπατοῦντες δίκαιον λαμβάνοντες ἀλλάγματα καὶ πένητας ἐν πύλαις ἐκκλίνοντες

13 διὰ τοῦτο ὁ συνίων ἐν τῷ καιρῷ ἐκείνῳ σιωπήσεται ὅτι καιρὸς πονηρός ἐστιν

14 ἐκζητήσατε τὸ καλὸν καὶ μὴ τὸ πονηρόν ὅπως ζήσητε καὶ ἔσται οὕτως μεθ᾽ ὑμῶν κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὁ παντοκράτωρ ὃν τρόπον εἴπατε

15 μεμισήκαμεν τὰ πονηρὰ καὶ ἠγαπήκαμεν τὰ καλά καὶ ἀποκαταστήσατε ἐν πύλαις κρίμα ὅπως ἐλεήσῃ κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὁ παντοκράτωρ τοὺς περιλοίπους τοῦ Ιωσηφ

16 διὰ τοῦτο τάδε λέγει κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὁ παντοκράτωρ ἐν πάσαις πλατείαις κοπετός καὶ ἐν πάσαις ὁδοῖς ῥηθήσεται οὐαὶ οὐαί κληθήσεται γεωργὸς εἰς πένθος καὶ κοπετὸν καὶ εἰς εἰδότας θρῆνον

17 καὶ ἐν πάσαις ὁδοῖς κοπετός διότι διελεύσομαι διὰ μέσου σου εἶπεν κύριος

18 οὐαὶ οἱ ἐπιθυμοῦντες τὴν ἡμέραν κυρίου ἵνα τί αὕτη ὑμῖν ἡ ἡμέρα τοῦ κυρίου καὶ αὐτή ἐστιν σκότος καὶ οὐ φῶς

19 ὃν τρόπον ὅταν φύγῃ ἄνθρωπος ἐκ προσώπου τοῦ λέοντος καὶ ἐμπέσῃ αὐτῷ ἡ ἄρκος καὶ εἰσπηδήσῃ εἰς τὸν οἶκον αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀπερείσηται τὰς χεῖρας αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὸν τοῖχον καὶ δάκῃ αὐτὸν ὁ ὄφις

20 οὐχὶ σκότος ἡ ἡμέρα τοῦ κυρίου καὶ οὐ φῶς καὶ γνόφος οὐκ ἔχων φέγγος αὐτῇ

21 μεμίσηκα ἀπῶσμαι ἑορτὰς ὑμῶν καὶ οὐ μὴ ὀσφρανθῶ ἐν ταῖς πανηγύρεσιν ὑμῶν

22 διότι καὶ ἐὰν ἐνέγκητέ μοι ὁλοκαυτώματα καὶ θυσίας ὑμῶν οὐ προσδέξομαι αὐτά καὶ σωτηρίου ἐπιφανείας ὑμῶν οὐκ ἐπιβλέψομαι

23 μετάστησον ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ ἦχον ᾠδῶν σου καὶ ψαλμὸν ὀργάνων σου οὐκ ἀκούσομαι

24 καὶ κυλισθήσεται ὡς ὕδωρ κρίμα καὶ δικαιοσύνη ὡς χειμάρρους ἄβατος

25 μὴ σφάγια καὶ θυσίας προσηνέγκατέ μοι ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ τεσσαράκοντα ἔτη οἶκος Ισραηλ

26 καὶ ἀνελάβετε τὴν σκηνὴν τοῦ Μολοχ καὶ τὸ ἄστρον τοῦ θεοῦ ὑμῶν Ραιφαν τοὺς τύπους αὐτῶν οὓς ἐποιήσατε ἑαυτοῖς

27 καὶ μετοικιῶ ὑμᾶς ἐπέκεινα Δαμασκοῦ λέγει κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὁ παντοκράτωρ ὄνομα αὐτῷ

‎2 ‏נָֽפְלָה֙ לֹֽא־תוֹסִ֣יף ק֔וּם בְּתוּלַ֖ת יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל נִטְּשָׁ֥ה עַל־אַדְמָתָ֖הּ אֵ֥ין מְקִימָֽהּ׃

‎3 ‏כִּ֣י כֹ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה הָעִ֛יר הַיֹּצֵ֥את אֶ֖לֶף תַּשְׁאִ֣יר מֵאָ֑ה וְהַיּוֹצֵ֥את מֵאָ֛ה תַּשְׁאִ֥יר עֲשָׂרָ֖ה לְבֵ֥ית יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ ס

‎4 ‏כִּ֣י כֹ֥ה אָמַ֛ר יְהוָ֖ה לְבֵ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל דִּרְשׁ֖וּנִי וִֽחְיֽוּ׃

‎5 ‏וְאַֽל־תִּדְרְשׁוּ֙ בֵּֽית־אֵ֔ל וְהַגִּלְגָּל֙ לֹ֣א תָבֹ֔אוּ וּבְאֵ֥ר שֶׁ֖בַע לֹ֣א תַעֲבֹ֑רוּ כִּ֤י הַגִּלְגָּל֙ גָּלֹ֣ה יִגְלֶ֔ה וּבֵֽית־אֵ֖ל יִהְיֶ֥ה לְאָֽוֶן׃

‎6 ‏דִּרְשׁ֥וּ אֶת־יְהוָ֖ה וִֽחְי֑וּ פֶּן־יִצְלַ֤ח כָּאֵשׁ֙ בֵּ֣ית יוֹסֵ֔ף וְאָכְלָ֥ה וְאֵין־מְכַבֶּ֖ה לְבֵֽית־אֵֽל׃

‎7 ‏הַהֹפְכִ֥ים לְלַעֲנָ֖ה מִשְׁפָּ֑ט וּצְדָקָ֖ה לָאָ֥רֶץ הִנִּֽיחוּ׃

‎8 ‏עֹשֵׂ֨ה כִימָ֜ה וּכְסִ֗יל וְהֹפֵ֤ךְ לַבֹּ֙קֶר֙ צַלְמָ֔וֶת וְי֖וֹם לַ֣יְלָה הֶחְשִׁ֑יךְ הַקּוֹרֵ֣א לְמֵֽי־הַיָּ֗ם וַֽיִּשְׁפְּכֵ֛ם עַל־פְּנֵ֥י הָאָ֖רֶץ יְהוָ֥ה שְׁמֽוֹ׃ ס

‎9 ‏הַמַּבְלִ֥יג שֹׁ֖ד עַל־עָ֑ז וְשֹׁ֖ד עַל־מִבְצָ֥ר יָבֽוֹא׃

‎10 ‏שָׂנְא֥וּ בַשַּׁ֖עַר מוֹכִ֑יחַ וְדֹבֵ֥ר תָּמִ֖ים יְתָעֵֽבוּ׃

‎11 ‏לָ֠כֵן יַ֣עַן בּוֹשַׁסְכֶ֞ם עַל־דָּ֗ל וּמַשְׂאַת־בַּר֙ תִּקְח֣וּ מִמֶּ֔נּוּ בָּתֵּ֥י גָזִ֛ית בְּנִיתֶ֖ם וְלֹא־תֵ֣שְׁבוּ בָ֑ם כַּרְמֵי־חֶ֣מֶד נְטַעְתֶּ֔ם וְלֹ֥א תִשְׁתּ֖וּ אֶת־יֵינָֽם׃

‎12 ‏כִּ֤י יָדַ֙עְתִּי֙ רַבִּ֣ים פִּשְׁעֵיכֶ֔ם וַעֲצֻמִ֖ים חַטֹּֽאתֵיכֶ֑ם צֹרְרֵ֤י צַדִּיק֙ לֹ֣קְחֵי כֹ֔פֶר וְאֶבְיוֹנִ֖ים בַּשַּׁ֥עַר הִטּֽוּ׃

‎13 ‏לָכֵ֗ן הַמַּשְׂכִּ֛יל בָּעֵ֥ת הַהִ֖יא יִדֹּ֑ם כִּ֛י עֵ֥ת רָעָ֖ה הִֽיא׃

‎14 ‏דִּרְשׁוּ־ט֥וֹב וְאַל־רָ֖ע לְמַ֣עַן תִּֽחְי֑וּ וִיהִי־כֵ֞ן יְהוָ֧ה אֱלֹהֵֽי־צְבָא֛וֹת אִתְּכֶ֖ם כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר אֲמַרְתֶּֽם׃

‎15 ‏שִׂנְאוּ־רָע֙ וְאֶ֣הֱבוּ ט֔וֹב וְהַצִּ֥יגוּ בַשַּׁ֖עַר מִשְׁפָּ֑ט אוּלַ֗י יֶֽחֱנַ֛ן יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵֽי־צְבָא֖וֹת שְׁאֵרִ֥ית יוֹסֵֽף׃ ס

‎16 ‏לָ֠כֵן כֹּֽה־אָמַ֨ר יְהוָ֜ה אֱלֹהֵ֤י צְבָאוֹת֙ אֲדֹנָ֔י בְּכָל־רְחֹב֣וֹת מִסְפֵּ֔ד וּבְכָל־חוּצ֖וֹת יֹאמְר֣וּ הוֹ־ה֑וֹ וְקָרְא֤וּ אִכָּר֙ אֶל־אֵ֔בֶל וּמִסְפֵּ֖ד אֶל־י֥וֹדְעֵי נֶֽהִי׃

‎17 ‏וּבְכָל־כְּרָמִ֖ים מִסְפֵּ֑ד כִּֽי־אֶעֱבֹ֥ר בְּקִרְבְּךָ֖ אָמַ֥ר יְהוָֽה׃ ס

‎18 ‏ה֥וֹי הַמִּתְאַוִּ֖ים אֶת־י֣וֹם יְהוָ֑ה לָמָּה־זֶּ֥ה לָכֶ֛ם י֥וֹם יְהוָ֖ה הוּא־חֹ֥שֶׁךְ וְלֹא־אֽוֹר׃

‎19 ‏כַּאֲשֶׁ֨ר יָנ֥וּס אִישׁ֙ מִפְּנֵ֣י הָאֲרִ֔י וּפְגָע֖וֹ הַדֹּ֑ב וּבָ֣א הַבַּ֔יִת וְסָמַ֤ךְ יָדוֹ֙ עַל־הַקִּ֔יר וּנְשָׁכ֖וֹ הַנָּחָֽשׁ׃

‎20 ‏הֲלֹא־חֹ֛שֶׁךְ י֥וֹם יְהוָ֖ה וְלֹא־א֑וֹר וְאָפֵ֖ל וְלֹא־נֹ֥גַֽהּ לֽוֹ׃

‎21 ‏שָׂנֵ֥אתִי מָאַ֖סְתִּי חַגֵּיכֶ֑ם וְלֹ֥א אָרִ֖יחַ בְּעַצְּרֹֽתֵיכֶֽם׃

‎22 ‏כִּ֣י אִם־תַּעֲלוּ־לִ֥י עֹל֛וֹת וּמִנְחֹתֵיכֶ֖ם לֹ֣א אֶרְצֶ֑ה וְשֶׁ֥לֶם מְרִיאֵיכֶ֖ם לֹ֥א אַבִּֽיט׃

‎23 ‏הָסֵ֥ר מֵעָלַ֖י הֲמ֣וֹן שִׁרֶ֑יךָ וְזִמְרַ֥ת נְבָלֶ֖יךָ לֹ֥א אֶשְׁמָֽע׃

‎24 ‏וְיִגַּ֥ל כַּמַּ֖יִם מִשְׁפָּ֑ט וּצְדָקָ֖ה כְּנַ֥חַל אֵיתָֽן׃

‎25 ‏הַזְּבָחִ֨ים וּמִנְחָ֜ה הִֽגַּשְׁתֶּם־לִ֧י בַמִּדְבָּ֛ר אַרְבָּעִ֥ים שָׁנָ֖ה בֵּ֥ית יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

‎26 ‏וּנְשָׂאתֶ֗ם אֵ֚ת סִכּ֣וּת מַלְכְּכֶ֔ם וְאֵ֖ת כִּיּ֣וּן צַלְמֵיכֶ֑ם כּוֹכַב֙ אֱלֹ֣הֵיכֶ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר עֲשִׂיתֶ֖ם לָכֶֽם׃

‎27 ‏וְהִגְלֵיתִ֥י אֶתְכֶ֖ם מֵהָ֣לְאָה לְדַמָּ֑שֶׂק אָמַ֛ר יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵֽי־צְבָא֖וֹת שְׁמֽוֹ׃ פ

Vul

1 [Audite verbum istud,
quod ego levo super vos planctum:
domus Israël cecidit,
et non adjiciet ut resurgat.

2 Virgo Israël projecta est in terram suam,
non est qui suscitet eam.

3 Quia hæc dicit Dominus Deus:
Urbs de qua egrediebantur mille,
relinquentur in ea centum;
et de qua egrediebantur centum,
relinquentur in ea decem in domo Israël.

4 Quia hæc dicit Dominus domui Israël:
Quærite me, et vivetis.

5 Et nolite quærere Bethel,
et in Galgalam nolite intrare,
et in Bersabee non transibitis,
quia Galgala captiva ducetur,
et Bethel erit inutilis.

6 Quærite Dominum, et vivite
(ne forte comburatur ut ignis domus Joseph, et devorabit,
et non erit qui extinguat Bethel:

7 qui convertitis in absinthium judicium,
et justitiam in terra relinquitis):

8 facientem Arcturum et Orionem,
et convertentem in mane tenebras,
et diem in noctem mutantem;
qui vocat aquas maris,
et effundit eas super faciem terræ;
Dominus nomen est ejus:

9 qui subridet vastitatem super robustum,
et depopulationem super potentem affert.

10 Odio habuerunt corripientem in porta,
et loquentem perfecte abominati sunt.

11 Idcirco, pro eo quod diripiebatis pauperem,
et prædam electam tollebatis ab eo,
domos quadro lapide ædificabitis,
et non habitabitis in eis;
vineas plantabis amantissimas,
et non bibetis vinum earum.

12 Quia cognovi multa scelera vestra,
et fortia peccata vestra:
hostes justi, accipientes munus,
et pauperes deprimentes in porta.

13 Ideo prudens in tempore illo tacebit,
quia tempus malum est.

14 Quærite bonum, et non malum, ut vivatis;
et erit Dominus Deus exercituum vobiscum, sicut dixistis.

15 Odite malum et diligite bonum,
et constituite in porta judicium:
si forte misereatur Dominus Deus exercituum reliquiis Joseph.

16 Propterea hæc dicit Dominus Deus exercituum, dominator:
In omnibus plateis planctus;
et in cunctis quæ foris sunt, dicetur: Væ, væ!
et vocabunt agricolam ad luctum,
et ad planctum eos qui sciunt plangere.

17 Et in omnibus vineis erit planctus,
quia pertransibo in medio tui,
dicit Dominus.]

18 [Væ desiderantibus diem Domini!
ad quid eam vobis?
Dies Domini ista, tenebræ, et non lux.

19 Quomodo si fugiat vir a facie leonis,
et occurrat ei ursus;
et ingrediatur domum, et innitatur manu sua super parietem,
et mordeat eum coluber.

20 Numquid non tenebræ dies Domini, et non lux;
et caligo, et non splendor in ea?

21 Odi, et projeci festivitates vestras,
et non capiam odorem cœtuum vestrorum.

22 Quod si obtuleritis mihi holocautomata, et munera vestra,
non suscipiam;
et vota pinguium vestrorum non respiciam.

23 Aufer a me tumultum carminum tuorum;
et cantica lyræ tuæ non audiam.

24 Et revelabitur quasi aqua judicium,
et justitia quasi torrens fortis.

25 Numquid hostias et sacrificium obtulistis mihi
in deserto quadraginta annis, domus Israël?

26 et portastis tabernaculum Moloch vestro,
et imaginem idolorum vestrorum, sidus dei vestri,
quæ fecistis vobis.

27 Et migrare vos faciam trans Damascum, dicit Dominus:
Deus exercituum nomen ejus.]
