1  Thus³⁵⁴¹ saith⁵⁵⁹ the LORD;³⁰⁶⁸ For⁵⁹²¹ three⁷⁹⁶⁹ transgressions⁶⁵⁸⁸ of Moab,⁴¹²⁴ and for⁵⁹²¹ four,⁷⁰² I will not³⁸⁰⁸ turn away⁷⁷²⁵ the punishment thereof; because⁵⁹²¹ he burned⁸³¹³ the bones⁶¹⁰⁶ of the king⁴⁴²⁸ of Edom¹²³ into lime:⁷⁸⁷⁵

2  But I will send⁷⁹⁷¹ a fire⁷⁸⁴ upon Moab,⁴¹²⁴ and it shall devour³⁹⁸ the palaces⁷⁵⁹ of Kerioth:⁷¹⁵² and Moab⁴¹²⁴ shall die⁴¹⁹¹ with tumult,⁷⁵⁸⁸ with shouting,⁸⁶⁴³ and with the sound⁶⁹⁶³ of the trumpet:⁷⁷⁸²

3  And I will cut off³⁷⁷² the judge⁸¹⁹⁹ from the midst^{4480 7130} thereof, and will slay²⁰²⁶ all³⁶⁰⁵ the princes⁸²⁶⁹ thereof with⁵⁹⁷³ him, saith⁵⁵⁹ the LORD.³⁰⁶⁸

4  Thus³⁵⁴¹ saith⁵⁵⁹ the LORD;³⁰⁶⁸ For⁵⁹²¹ three⁷⁹⁶⁹ transgressions⁶⁵⁸⁸ of Judah,³⁰⁶³ and for⁵⁹²¹ four,⁷⁰² I will not³⁸⁰⁸ turn away⁷⁷²⁵ the punishment thereof; because⁵⁹²¹ they have despised^{3988 853} the law⁸⁴⁵¹ of the LORD,³⁰⁶⁸ and have not³⁸⁰⁸ kept⁸¹⁰⁴ his commandments,²⁷⁰⁶ and their lies³⁵⁷⁷ caused them to err,⁸⁵⁸² after³¹⁰ the which⁸³⁴ their fathers¹ have walked:¹⁹⁸⁰

5  But I will send⁷⁹⁷¹ a fire⁷⁸⁴ upon Judah,³⁰⁶³ and it shall devour³⁹⁸ the palaces⁷⁵⁹ of Jerusalem.³³⁸⁹

6  Thus³⁵⁴¹ saith⁵⁵⁹ the LORD;³⁰⁶⁸ For⁵⁹²¹ three⁷⁹⁶⁹ transgressions⁶⁵⁸⁸ of Israel,³⁴⁷⁸ and for⁵⁹²¹ four,⁷⁰² I will not³⁸⁰⁸ turn away⁷⁷²⁵ the punishment thereof; because⁵⁹²¹ they sold⁴³⁷⁶ the righteous⁶⁶⁶² for silver,³⁷⁰¹ and the poor³⁴ for⁵⁶⁶⁸ a pair of shoes;⁵²⁷⁵

7  That pant⁷⁶⁰² after⁵⁹²¹ the dust⁶⁰⁸³ of the earth⁷⁷⁶ on the head⁷²¹⁸ of the poor,¹⁸⁰⁰ and turn aside⁵¹⁸⁶ the way¹⁸⁷⁰ of the meek:⁶⁰³⁵ and a man³⁷⁶ and his father¹ will go in¹⁹⁸⁰ unto⁴¹³ the same maid,⁵²⁹¹ to⁴⁶¹⁶ profane^{2490 853} my holy⁶⁹⁴⁴ name:⁸⁰³⁴

8  And they lay themselves down⁵¹⁸⁶ upon⁵⁹²¹ clothes⁸⁹⁹ laid to pledge²²⁵⁴ by⁶⁸¹ every³⁶⁰⁵ altar,⁴¹⁹⁶ and they drink⁸³⁵⁴ the wine³¹⁹⁶ of the condemned⁶⁰⁶⁴ in the house¹⁰⁰⁴ of their god.⁴³⁰

9  Yet destroyed⁸⁰⁴⁵ I^{595 853} the Amorite⁵⁶⁷ before^{4480 6440} them, whose⁸³⁴ height¹³⁶³ was like the height¹³⁶³ of the cedars,⁷³⁰ and he¹⁹³¹ was strong²⁶³⁴ as the oaks;⁴³⁷ yet I destroyed⁸⁰⁴⁵ his fruit⁶⁵²⁹ from above,^{4480 4605} and his roots⁸³²⁸ from beneath.^{4480 8478}

10  Also I⁵⁹⁵ brought you up^{5927 853} from the land^{4480 776} of Egypt,⁴⁷¹⁴ and led¹⁹⁸⁰ you forty⁷⁰⁵ years⁸¹⁴¹ through the wilderness,⁴⁰⁵⁷ to possess^{3423 853} the land⁷⁷⁶ of the Amorite.⁵⁶⁷

11  And I raised up⁶⁹⁶⁵ of your sons^{4480 1121} for prophets,⁵⁰³⁰ and of your young men^{4480 970} for Nazarites.⁵¹³⁹ Is it not³⁶⁹ even⁶³⁷ thus,²⁰⁶³ O ye children¹¹²¹ of Israel?³⁴⁷⁸ saith⁵⁰⁰² the LORD.³⁰⁶⁸

12  But ye gave ⁸⁵³ the Nazarites⁵¹³⁹ wine³¹⁹⁶ to drink;⁸²⁴⁸ and commanded⁶⁶⁸⁰ the prophets,⁵⁰³⁰ saying,⁵⁵⁹ Prophesy⁵⁰¹² not.³⁸⁰⁸

13  Behold,²⁰⁰⁹ I⁵⁹⁵ am pressed⁵⁷⁸¹ under⁸⁴⁷⁸ you, as⁸³⁴ a cart⁵⁶⁹⁹ is pressed⁵⁷⁸¹ that is full of⁴³⁹² sheaves.⁵⁹⁹⁵

14  Therefore the flight⁴⁴⁹⁸ shall perish⁶ from the swift,^{4480 7031} and the strong²³⁸⁹ shall not³⁸⁰⁸ strengthen⁵⁵³ his force,³⁵⁸¹ neither³⁸⁰⁸ shall the mighty¹³⁶⁸ deliver⁴⁴²² himself:⁵³¹⁵

15  Neither³⁸⁰⁸ shall he stand⁵⁹⁷⁵ that handleth⁸⁶¹⁰ the bow;⁷¹⁹⁸ and he that is swift⁷⁰³¹ of foot⁷²⁷² shall not³⁸⁰⁸ deliver⁴⁴²² himself: neither³⁸⁰⁸ shall he that rideth⁷³⁹² the horse⁵⁴⁸³ deliver⁴⁴²² himself.⁵³¹⁵

16  And he that is courageous^{533 3820} among the mighty¹³⁶⁸ shall flee away⁵¹²⁷ naked⁶¹⁷⁴ in that¹⁹³¹ day,³¹¹⁷ saith⁵⁰⁰² the LORD.³⁰⁶⁸

1 τάδε λέγει κύριος ἐπὶ ταῖς τρισὶν ἀσεβείαις Μωαβ καὶ ἐπὶ ταῖς τέσσαρσιν οὐκ ἀποστραφήσομαι αὐτόν ἀνθ᾽ ὧν κατέκαυσαν τὰ ὀστᾶ βασιλέως τῆς Ιδουμαίας εἰς κονίαν

2 καὶ ἐξαποστελῶ πῦρ ἐπὶ Μωαβ καὶ καταφάγεται θεμέλια τῶν πόλεων αὐτῆς καὶ ἀποθανεῖται ἐν ἀδυναμίᾳ Μωαβ μετὰ κραυγῆς καὶ μετὰ φωνῆς σάλπιγγος

3 καὶ ἐξολεθρεύσω κριτὴν ἐξ αὐτῆς καὶ πάντας τοὺς ἄρχοντας αὐτῆς ἀποκτενῶ μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ λέγει κύριος

4 τάδε λέγει κύριος ἐπὶ ταῖς τρισὶν ἀσεβείαις υἱῶν Ιουδα καὶ ἐπὶ ταῖς τέσσαρσιν οὐκ ἀποστραφήσομαι αὐτόν ἕνεκα τοῦ ἀπώσασθαι αὐτοὺς τὸν νόμον κυρίου καὶ τὰ προστάγματα αὐτοῦ οὐκ ἐφυλάξαντο καὶ ἐπλάνησεν αὐτοὺς τὰ μάταια αὐτῶν ἃ ἐποίησαν οἷς ἐξηκολούθησαν οἱ πατέρες αὐτῶν ὀπίσω αὐτῶν

5 καὶ ἐξαποστελῶ πῦρ ἐπὶ Ιουδαν καὶ καταφάγεται θεμέλια Ιερουσαλημ

6 τάδε λέγει κύριος ἐπὶ ταῖς τρισὶν ἀσεβείαις Ισραηλ καὶ ἐπὶ ταῖς τέσσαρσιν οὐκ ἀποστραφήσομαι αὐτόν ἀνθ᾽ ὧν ἀπέδοντο ἀργυρίου δίκαιον καὶ πένητα ἕνεκεν ὑποδημάτων

7 τὰ πατοῦντα ἐπὶ τὸν χοῦν τῆς γῆς καὶ ἐκονδύλιζον εἰς κεφαλὰς πτωχῶν καὶ ὁδὸν ταπεινῶν ἐξέκλιναν καὶ υἱὸς καὶ πατὴρ αὐτοῦ εἰσεπορεύοντο πρὸς τὴν αὐτὴν παιδίσκην ὅπως βεβηλώσωσιν τὸ ὄνομα τοῦ θεοῦ αὐτῶν

8 καὶ τὰ ἱμάτια αὐτῶν δεσμεύοντες σχοινίοις παραπετάσματα ἐποίουν ἐχόμενα τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου καὶ οἶνον ἐκ συκοφαντιῶν ἔπινον ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ τοῦ θεοῦ αὐτῶν

9 ἐγὼ δὲ ἐξῆρα τὸν Αμορραῖον ἐκ προσώπου αὐτῶν οὗ ἦν καθὼς ὕψος κέδρου τὸ ὕψος αὐτοῦ καὶ ἰσχυρὸς ἦν ὡς δρῦς καὶ ἐξῆρα τὸν καρπὸν αὐτοῦ ἐπάνωθεν καὶ τὰς ῥίζας αὐτοῦ ὑποκάτωθεν

10 καὶ ἐγὼ ἀνήγαγον ὑμᾶς ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου καὶ περιήγαγον ὑμᾶς ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ τεσσαράκοντα ἔτη τοῦ κατακληρονομῆσαι τὴν γῆν τῶν Αμορραίων

11 καὶ ἔλαβον ἐκ τῶν υἱῶν ὑμῶν εἰς προφήτας καὶ ἐκ τῶν νεανίσκων ὑμῶν εἰς ἁγιασμόν μὴ οὐκ ἔστιν ταῦτα υἱοὶ Ισραηλ λέγει κύριος

12 καὶ ἐποτίζετε τοὺς ἡγιασμένους οἶνον καὶ τοῖς προφήταις ἐνετέλλεσθε λέγοντες οὐ μὴ προφητεύσητε

13 διὰ τοῦτο ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ κυλίω ὑποκάτω ὑμῶν ὃν τρόπον κυλίεται ἡ ἅμαξα ἡ γέμουσα καλάμης

14 καὶ ἀπολεῖται φυγὴ ἐκ δρομέως καὶ ὁ κραταιὸς οὐ μὴ κρατήσῃ τῆς ἰσχύος αὐτοῦ καὶ ὁ μαχητὴς οὐ μὴ σώσῃ τὴν ψυχὴν αὐτοῦ

15 καὶ ὁ τοξότης οὐ μὴ ὑποστῇ καὶ ὁ ὀξὺς τοῖς ποσὶν αὐτοῦ οὐ μὴ διασωθῇ οὐδὲ ὁ ἱππεὺς οὐ μὴ σώσῃ τὴν ψυχὴν αὐτοῦ

16 καὶ εὑρήσει τὴν καρδίαν αὐτοῦ ἐν δυναστείαις ὁ γυμνὸς διώξεται ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ λέγει κύριος

‎1 ‏כֹּ֚ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה עַל־שְׁלֹשָׁה֙ פִּשְׁעֵ֣י מוֹאָ֔ב וְעַל־אַרְבָּעָ֖ה לֹ֣א אֲשִׁיבֶ֑נּוּ עַל־שָׂרְפ֛וֹ עַצְמ֥וֹת מֶֽלֶךְ־אֱד֖וֹם לַשִּֽׂיד׃

‎2 ‏וְשִׁלַּחְתִּי־אֵ֣שׁ בְּמוֹאָ֔ב וְאָכְלָ֖ה אַרְמְנ֣וֹת הַקְּרִיּ֑וֹת וּמֵ֤ת בְּשָׁאוֹן֙ מוֹאָ֔ב בִּתְרוּעָ֖ה בְּק֥וֹל שׁוֹפָֽר׃

‎3 ‏וְהִכְרַתִּ֥י שׁוֹפֵ֖ט מִקִּרְבָּ֑הּ וְכָל־שָׂרֶ֛יהָ אֶהֱר֥וֹג עִמּ֖וֹ אָמַ֥ר יְהוָֽה׃ פ

‎4 ‏כֹּ֚ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה עַל־שְׁלֹשָׁה֙ פִּשְׁעֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֔ה וְעַל־אַרְבָּעָ֖ה לֹ֣א אֲשִׁיבֶ֑נּוּ עַֽל־מָאֳסָ֞ם אֶת־תּוֹרַ֣ת יְהוָ֗ה וְחֻקָּיו֙ לֹ֣א שָׁמָ֔רוּ וַיַּתְעוּם֙ כִּזְבֵיהֶ֔ם אֲשֶׁר־הָלְכ֥וּ אֲבוֹתָ֖ם אַחֲרֵיהֶֽם׃

‎5 ‏וְשִׁלַּ֥חְתִּי אֵ֖שׁ בִּֽיהוּדָ֑ה וְאָכְלָ֖ה אַרְמְנ֥וֹת יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ פ

‎6 ‏כֹּ֚ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה עַל־שְׁלֹשָׁה֙ פִּשְׁעֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְעַל־אַרְבָּעָ֖ה לֹ֣א אֲשִׁיבֶ֑נּוּ עַל־מִכְרָ֤ם בַּכֶּ֙סֶף֙ צַדִּ֔יק וְאֶבְי֖וֹן בַּעֲב֥וּר נַעֲלָֽיִם׃

‎7 ‏הַשֹּׁאֲפִ֤ים עַל־עֲפַר־אֶ֙רֶץ֙ בְּרֹ֣אשׁ דַּלִּ֔ים וְדֶ֥רֶךְ עֲנָוִ֖ים יַטּ֑וּ וְאִ֣ישׁ וְאָבִ֗יו יֵֽלְכוּ֙ אֶל־הַֽנַּעֲרָ֔ה לְמַ֥עַן חַלֵּ֖ל אֶת־שֵׁ֥ם קָדְשִֽׁי׃

‎8 ‏וְעַל־בְּגָדִ֤ים חֲבֻלִים֙ יַטּ֔וּ אֵ֖צֶל כָּל־מִזְבֵּ֑חַ וְיֵ֤ין עֲנוּשִׁים֙ יִשְׁתּ֔וּ בֵּ֖ית אֱלֹהֵיהֶֽם׃

‎9 ‏וְאָ֨נֹכִ֜י הִשְׁמַ֤דְתִּי אֶת־הָֽאֱמֹרִי֙ מִפְּנֵיהֶ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֨ר כְּגֹ֤בַהּ אֲרָזִים֙ גָּבְה֔וֹ וְחָסֹ֥ן ה֖וּא כָּֽאַלּוֹנִ֑ים וָאַשְׁמִ֤יד פִּרְיוֹ֙ מִמַּ֔עַל וְשָׁרָשָׁ֖יו מִתָּֽחַת׃

‎10 ‏וְאָנֹכִ֛י הֶעֱלֵ֥יתִי אֶתְכֶ֖ם מֵאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם וָאוֹלֵ֨ךְ אֶתְכֶ֤ם בַּמִּדְבָּר֙ אַרְבָּעִ֣ים שָׁנָ֔ה לָרֶ֖שֶׁת אֶת־אֶ֥רֶץ הָאֱמֹרִֽי׃

‎11 ‏וָאָקִ֤ים מִבְּנֵיכֶם֙ לִנְבִיאִ֔ים וּמִבַּחוּרֵיכֶ֖ם לִנְזִרִ֑ים הַאַ֥ף אֵֽין־זֹ֛את בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל נְאֻם־יְהוָֽה׃

‎12 ‏וַתַּשְׁק֥וּ אֶת־הַנְּזִרִ֖ים יָ֑יִן וְעַל־הַנְּבִיאִים֙ צִוִּיתֶ֣ם לֵאמֹ֔ר לֹ֖א תִּנָּבְאֽוּ׃

‎13 ‏הִנֵּ֛ה אָנֹכִ֥י מֵעִ֖יק תַּחְתֵּיכֶ֑ם כַּאֲשֶׁ֤ר תָּעִיק֙ הָעֲגָלָ֔ה הַֽמְלֵאָ֥ה לָ֖הּ עָמִֽיר׃

‎14 ‏וְאָבַ֤ד מָנוֹס֙ מִקָּ֔ל וְחָזָ֖ק לֹא־יְאַמֵּ֣ץ כֹּח֑וֹ וְגִבּ֖וֹר לֹא־יְמַלֵּ֥ט נַפְשֽׁוֹ׃

‎15 ‏וְתֹפֵ֤שׂ הַקֶּ֙שֶׁת֙ לֹ֣א יַעֲמֹ֔ד וְקַ֥ל בְּרַגְלָ֖יו לֹ֣א יְמַלֵּ֑ט וְרֹכֵ֣ב הַסּ֔וּס לֹ֥א יְמַלֵּ֖ט נַפְשֽׁוֹ׃

‎16 ‏וְאַמִּ֥יץ לִבּ֖וֹ בַּגִּבּוֹרִ֑ים עָר֛וֹם יָנ֥וּס בַּיּוֹם־הַה֖וּא נְאֻם־יְהוָֽה׃ פ

Super tribus sceleribus Moab,
et super quatuor non convertam eum,
eo quod incenderit ossa regis Idumææ usque ad cinerem.

2 Et mittam ignem in Moab,
et devorabit ædes Carioth:
et morietur in sonitu Moab, in clangore tubæ.

3 Et disperdam judicem de medio ejus,
et omnes principes ejus interficiam cum eo,
dicit Dominus.]

4 [Hæc dicit Dominus:
Super tribus sceleribus Juda,
et super quatuor non convertam eum,
eo quod abjecerit legem Domini
et mandata ejus non custodierit:
deceperant enim eos idola sua,
post quæ abierant patres eorum.

5 Et mittam ignem in Juda,
et devorabit ædes Jerusalem.

6 Hæc dicit Dominus:
Super tribus sceleribus Israël,
et super quatuor non convertam eum,
pro eo quod vendiderit pro argento justum,
et pauperem pro calceamentis.

7 Qui conterunt super pulverem terræ capita pauperum,
et viam humilium declinant:
et filius ac pater ejus ierunt ad puellam,
ut violarent nomen sanctum meum.

8 Et super vestimentis pignoratis accubuerunt juxta omne altare,
et vinum damnatorum bibebant in domo Dei sui.

9 Ego autem exterminavi Amorrhæum a facie eorum,
cujus altitudo, cedrorum altitudo ejus,
et fortis ipse quasi quercus;
et contrivi fructum ejus desuper,
et radices ejus subter.

10 Ego sum qui ascendere vos feci de terra Ægypti,
et duxi vos in deserto quadraginta annis,
ut possideretis terram Amorrhæi.

11 Et suscitavi de filiis vestris in prophetas,
et de juvenibus vestris nazaræos.
Numquid non ita est, filii Israël? dicit Dominus.

12 Et propinabitis nazaræis vinum,
et prophetis mandabitis, dicentes:
Ne prophetetis.

13 Ecce ego stridebo subter vos,
sicut stridet plaustrum onustum fœno.

14 Et peribit fuga a veloce,
et fortis non obtinebit virtutem suam,
et robustus non salvabit animam suam:

15 et tenens arcum non stabit,
et velox pedibus suis non salvabitur,
et ascensor equi non salvabit animam suam:

16 et robustus corde inter fortes nudus fugiet in illa die,
dicit Dominus.]
